HYBRIDS – Combining O3 O Ports with traditional string holes has
broadened the appeal of this O3 Technology when players are looking for the advantages of O Ports with a more traditional feel. Added to the
current Hybrid Hornet and Hybrid Tour models are two new racquets; the Hybrid
Comp and the Hybrid Lite which are sscheduled for delivery in mid February.
The Hybrid Comp is a 102 square inch mid+ for the competitive player looking
for more maneuverability in a racquet that comes in at just under 11 ounces.
The O Ports are placed at 9 and 3 o’clock for a wider sweet spot providing crisper volleys and power loaded ground strokes. This is a racquet for
the hard hitter who’s looking for extra quickness and increased racquet
head speed.
The Hybrid Lite boasts a generous 109 square inch head with the O Ports
situated at 12 and 6 o’clock. This lengthens widens the sweet
spot towards the tip of the racquet. Weighting in under 9.5 ounces,
this flamethrower is designed for the player looking for extra racquet
speed and lightning fast maneuverability.
O ZONE – Back in July of ’07, Prince introduced the NEW O ZONE line of
racquets. Based on the original O3 Silver, Blue and Red, the O ZONES
featured O Ports surrounding the racquet for an incredible sweet spot
that is 54% larger than conventional string hole racquets and 20% more
aerodynamic. These added bonuses arrived at a more attractive price. Now, the O
Zone Tour and O Zone Pro Tour have been added to O Zones for hard hitters who
want the all advantages of a huge sweet spot and increased racquet head
speed in a lower power and heftier racquet. The O Zone Tour is a 100
square inch mid+ weighting in at just under 11.5 ounces. It sports an
16 x 18 string pattern. The O Zone Pro Tour differs from the Tour with a
denser string pattern, 18 x20, and about a half ounce more weight. Both racquets
are extremely quick through the air for added racquet head speed and
feature a low impact hit which makes them very arm friendly.
SPEED PORTS – Last year, O Ports where enhanced with a modification to
their shape, size and quantity. Enter the SPEED PORTS, which increased the racquet
head speed an incredible 24% over the already blazing fast O PORTS.
The Speed Port Silver, Blue and Red were instant hits They were complimented by the Speed Port Black and Speed Port Tour with the Speed
Port Tuning System just before the US Open. Speed
Port Tuning System allows the player to fine tune the play and
feel of the racquet whenever its strung. Voted the most innovative technology in tennis by
TENNIS MAGAZINE, the Speed Port lineup expands with the addition of
the Speed Port White and SpeedPort Pro White and the exciting Speed Port Gold and
Speed Port Platinum. The Speed Port White and Speed Port Pro White incorporate Speed Ports
into one of the best selling racquets over the past two years. The SpeedPort Pro
White differs from the SpeedPort White with a heftier feel and a denser string
pattern while maintaining the same quickness of earlier Speed Port models. The
SpeedPort Platinum is for the person looking for the ultimate sweet spot and
power in an ultra lightweight racquet. Prince has also increased the
sweet spot to an unbelievable 70% by passing the string down
to the top of the grip. The Speed Port Platinum is a 125 square in
flamethrower that will blister those winners past your opponent. For
those who want the same features in a slightly smaller 115 square inch
head, the SpeedPort Gold fits the bill. With the elongated string
pattern option, the Speed Port Gold adds a larger sweet spot to a
racquet that is similar to the extremely popular Speed Port Silver.
